About Me

I’m a Berklee College of Music graduate and full-time working musician with over 25 years of experience playing guitar. I’ve taught guitar throughout my music career, both independently and through established music centers, working with a wide range of students and learning styles.

In addition to teaching, I’m an active local performer, playing hundreds of gigs each year at bars, restaurants, senior living communities, private events, and weddings.

Because I perform so frequently, my teaching is deeply practical. I help students build solid fundamentals, strong timing, musical confidence, and, most importantly, the skills to learn and grow independently. My lessons are grounded in real experience and tailored to support long-term progress.

My Approach

Learning to play an instrument should be fun. That’s why it’s called “playing” music! I believe students should look forward to each lesson and feel motivated to practice in between. I chart student progress and send clear, detailed practice notes using an app I’ve developed specifically for musicians, so students (and parents) always know what to work on and how they’re improving. Lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s goals, with an emphasis on building strong musical foundations and the skills to learn and grow independently.

Topics Covered

I cover a wide range of topics, based on student interest. These include, Technique & Fundamentals, Chords, Scales, Music Theory, Reading, Ear Training, Improvisation and more!
